News: FBI, nation-wide facial recognition
This post discusses an FBI-run national facial recognition program for the use of local police. As of yet, there’s no reason to whip out the tinfoil, but it doesn’t take much to imagine abuse of such a system.
“…concerns that the Homeland Security Department, which exchanges digital prints with the FBI, will abuse the new facial recognition component. Currently, a controversial DHS immigrant fingerprinting program called Secure Communities runs FBI prints from booked offenders against the department’s IDENT biometric database to check whether they are in the country illegally.”
Did you know that permanent residents, those people who immigrated here legally (and expensively) have their finger prints taken and matched every time they re-enter the US? Every time.
And California knowingly gives driver’s license to illegals….
Something’s wrong here. At the heart of this government, something is very wrong. We have a cancer, a poison. We know the cure. We see the talking heads who dangle hope in front of us. Just keep voting. Keep donating to re-election campaigns.
Some of the Unions have been corrupted, just like the things they were created to fight against. Those thugs can hold up trains carrying food, reminds me of the Ukraine, where the proof of the evils of Marxist-Stalinism was shown to the world.
But we forgot. Some of us, anyway.
Just like the Tea Part got co-opted by the status-quo “conservatives” to become merely to populist wing of the GOP, so to has the Occupy Wall Street movement been co-opted by the left,, albeit a bit more to the extreme than the Tea Party.
The first photos from the OWS showed messages like “End the Fed” now we hear demands for $20/hr minimum wage, outright Communism in other cases. We see festival-goers playing protestor, paid sign holders. Van Jones and other ‘fellow travelers’ plug the movement.
This nation has a cancer. It’s sick.
I would leave you with a quote. If you take nothing else from this blog, ever. Serious take this into your heart.
“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
